Intro to Shotgun

Here’s what you can expect from our “Intro to Shotgun” class:

Safety First: Our top priority is ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants. You’ll receive comprehensive safety training, including proper handling techniques, range etiquette, and rules to follow to ensure a smooth and secure experience.

Shotgun Basics: Our knowledgeable instructors will provide a thorough introduction to shotguns, covering different types, and components, and how to properly load and unload them. You’ll gain a solid understanding of shotgun anatomy and functionality, enabling you to handle these powerful firearms with confidence.

Shooting Techniques: From stance and grip to sight alignment and target acquisition, our instructors will guide you through the essential shooting techniques to maximize accuracy and consistency. Whether you’re interested in skeet shooting, trap shooting, or even sporting clays, you’ll learn the skills needed to hit your mark with precision.

Live Fire Experience: Brace yourself for the adrenaline rush as you step onto the range and put your newly acquired skills to the test. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll have the opportunity to shoot live rounds.

Tips and Tricks: Throughout the class, our instructors will share valuable tips, tricks, and insights gained from their years of experience. You’ll learn how to analyze your shots, make adjustments, and improve your overall performance, taking your shotgun skills to the next level.

Course:

In this three-hour course, clients will develop basic skill sets. This is a hands-on  practical course

• The essentials of safety, weapon handling, and marksmanship.
• Strategy for defensive weapon deployment.
• Ammunition types and selection.
• Patterning your shotgun.

Equipment Needed:

• Personal Protection Equipment
  • Ear protection (electronic is preferred)
  • Safety Glasses
  • A billed hat
  • A crew neck or button-up shirt. No V-necks or tank tops
  • Closed-toe shoes
• Any quality shotgun (If you don’t have one, contact us).
• A sling.
• At least One hundred rounds of birdshot.
• At least 15 rounds of 00 Buck
• At least 5 Slugs
  Only new factory-manufactured ammunition is permitted in class.
• Appropriate clothing for the season, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, water, and snacks.
• A folding chair or stool, unless you’re okay standing.
